Job summary

The University of Washington Medical Center Northwest Radiology Department is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform radiologic exams independently, operate and maintain imaging equipment, document findings, and support efficient patient flow.

This 90% FTE on-site role requires weekend shifts and collaboration with board-certified radiologists across MRI, CT, ultrasound, and interventional radiology services in Seattle.

Qualifications

  • Formal radiologic technology training in an AMA approved school.
  • Eligible for ARRT registration with registry completed before probation ends.
  • Licensed as Radiologic Technologist in Washington state.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patient and independently perform radiologic exams and procedures.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain radiology equipment.
  • Accurately document procedures and findings.
  • Coordinate and optimize patient flow and customer service.
  • Maintain a clean, safe imaging environment.
  • Engage in training and collaboration with team.

The UW Medical Center - Northwest - Radiology Department has an outstanding opportunity for a Radiology Technologist.

WORK SCHEDULE

Department Description

Advanced imaging and diagnostic services in North Seattle. Radiology at UWMC-Northwest is equipped with the advanced diagnostic imaging technology available. Our board-certified radiologists have specialty training in cardiac imaging, neuroimaging, musculoskeletal, interventional radiology, nuclear medicine and body and breast imaging. Along with our team of expert imaging technologists, they are committed to diagnosing illnesses and injuries quickly and effectively so treatment can begin. We take time and attention with each patient to explain procedures, so they’ll know what to expect every step of the way. Radiology Services at UW Medical Center - Northwest offers routine radiology, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology.

Primary Job Responsibilities
  • Prepares patient and independently performs radiologic exams & procedures

Requirements
  • Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA approved school and eligible for registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with Registry completed before completion of probationary period.
  • Registered as an X-Ray Technician by the State of Washington.
  • Certified by the State of Washington as a Radiologic Technologist, before completion of probationary period.
  • Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
