Job summary

COPC Brand is seeking an Imaging Tech Assistant in Columbus, OH, to support imaging technologists and serve as a patients' resource during procedures. You will coordinate prior exams, assist with procedures, and communicate results with physicians and patients.

The role requires strong safety knowledge, teamwork, and clear communication. This is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities to participate in staff meetings and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety hazards common to radiology including radiation safety, equipment safety, body mechanics and patient movement.

Responsibilities

• Monitors schedules of all modalities to identify exams needing prior studies.
• Reaches out to outside facilities to request prior exams by phone, fax, and email.
• Assist technologists with duties under direct supervision.
• Assist patients to appropriate modality areas.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures.
• Process routine paperwork.
• Communicate with patients for preparations and facility information.
• Work with Precertification to obtain/changing exam authorizations.
• Communicate with Radiologists, Physicians, and COPC practice.
• Support monitoring exam schedules and retrieving information for technologists.
• Maintain examination rooms and stock supplies.
• Attend staff and educational meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Description

The Imaging Tech Assistant is responsible for assisting Imaging Technologists and acting as a resource to the patients during their procedure. This position works with Physicians to communicate and share results with patients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Education, Licensures & Certifications

• Required: High School Graduate
• Preferred: Prior healthcare experience
