Central Ohio Primary Care Physicians, Inc. in Columbus, OH is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform radiologic procedures ordered by Providers. You will prepare patients, position them for X-rays, and ensure safety and quality of imaging.

The role is full-time, on-site, with Monday–Friday 7:30am–4:00pm. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered; benefits eligibility applies as part of a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

  • Completion of Radiologic Technology coursework approved by ARRT.
  • Current certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
  • Current Ohio Department of Health Radiology license.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and perform x-rays as ordered.
  • Explain procedures to patients and ensure safety and comfort.
  • Maintain equipment and report malfunctions.
  • Keep examination rooms stocked and organized.
  • Attend required staff meetings and perform other duties as assigned.

The Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing radiologic procedures as ordered by Provider.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures. Takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety. Responsible for explaining procedure to patient and answer questions.
  • Use a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials as well as various media.
  • Ensure equipment is in working order and reports malfunctions to appropriate person(s).
  • Process routine paperwork as necessary.
  • Maintain examination rooms, stocks necessary medical and radiologic supplies.
  • Attend required staff and educational meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Licensures & Certifications

Required: Completion of course in Radiologic Technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists

Required: Current certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist

Required: Current Ohio Department of Health Radiology license

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to perform x-ray testing
  • Knowledge of radiology equipment
  • Knowledge of safety hazards common to radiology including equipment, body mechanics and patient movement
  • Skill in properly positioning patients as well as properly identifying equipment problems
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patient, medical staff, and the public
  • Ability to assist patients on and off exam tables
  • Ability to apply written guidelines and standardized work practices
  • Ability to work on a team and display a positive attitude
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent relationship building skills
