Job summary

Eastside Radiology in Reynoldsburg, OH is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform radiologic procedures as ordered by Providers. The role is full-time, on-site, with a standard Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm schedule.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, positioning, adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining equipment and rooms. Required are ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology training, ARRT certification, and Ohio radiology licensure.

Qualifications

Description

The Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing radiologic procedures as ordered by Provider.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures. Takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety. Responsible for explaining procedure to patient and answer questions.
• Use a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials as well as various media.
• Ensure equipment is in working order and reports malfunctions to appropriate person(s).
• Process routine paperwork as necessary.
• Maintain examination rooms, stocks necessary medical and radiologic supplies.
• Attend required staff and educational meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Licensures & Certifications

Required: Completion of course in Radiologic Technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists

Required: Current certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist

Required: Current Ohio Department of Health Radiology license

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to perform x-ray testing
• Knowledge of radiology equipment
• Knowledge of safety hazards common to radiology including equipment, body mechanics and patient movement
