Job summary

Ascension in Waverly, TN, is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for evening shift responsibilities in Imaging | Radiology. You will perform high-quality radiographic exams, position patients, and ensure safe practices while following protocols for patient protection.

You will validate patient history and images in PACS, maintain sterile, organized spaces, and monitor equipment to support reliable diagnoses and smooth workflow.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire or transfer date.
• Credentialed radiology-related certification within 3 months of hire: CCI Cardiographic Tech, ARRT Radiography, or ARDMS Sonography.
• Education: HS equivalency with 2 years experience or an Associate/Technical degree or 4 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-quality radiologic exams by positioning patients and selecting precise technical factors.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and monitor for changes to ensure a safe imaging experience.
• Validate image data and patient history in PACS to provide clinicians with reliable information.
• Maintain a sterile, organized procedure area and monitor equipment performance.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Execute high-quality radiologic exams by expertly positioning patients and selecting precise technical factors to provide physicians with the clear images needed for accurate diagnosis.
• Protect patient well-being by strictly following radiation safety guidelines and monitoring for any physical changes during procedures, ensuring a safe and secure imaging experience.
• Advocate for diagnostic excellence by validating all image data and patient history within the PACS system, ensuring the medical team has immediate access to reliable clinical information.
• Maintain a high-standard clinical environment by proactively monitoring equipment performance and ensuring all procedure areas are sterile, organized, and ready for care.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

What Additional Preferences We're Seeking

• CT Experience Preferred
• Shift is 4:30pm-1:30am, Monday - Thursday
