Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Biomedical Imaging Engineer to support and manage diagnostic imaging equipment across CT, ultrasound, MRI and other modalities. You will train staff, ensure safe operation, and maintain equipment databases across facilities.

The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance and collaboration with radiology teams to deliver high-quality patient care. On-site position with regular hours and on-call coverage as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years medical imaging service experience across multiple modalities.
• Strong managerial, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team while delivering quality service.

Responsibilities

• Support medical imaging needs by overseeing equipment service and maintenance of diagnostic imaging systems.
• Provide education and training for technical and professional staff on equipment use and features.
• Serve as primary and 1st Pass service to imaging modalities (CT, ultrasound, radiology, DR, mammography).
• Develop and maintain procedures for capturing equipment and productivity data; back up information systems.
• Investigate device-related incidents and implement preventative measures.
• Coordinate recalls and alerts related to medical devices.
