Job summary

Highmark Health in Pittsburgh is looking for a Biomedical Equipment Technician to provide service support and preventive maintenance on general imaging devices during normal hours and on-call rotations. You will diagnose equipment issues, perform repairs, and document actions taken to restore functionality.

The role requires hands-on repair experience with radiology or ultrasound systems, a technical school background, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

Electronic technical school graduate required.
1–3 years' experience performing direct repair and maintenance on medical equipment.
Preferred Associate's Degree in bio medical or electronic engineering.
Experience in working with radiological or ultrasound devices.

Responsibilities

Respond to unscheduled service requests with verification, troubleshooting, and repair.
Complete scheduled PM inspections and document outcomes.
Attend in-house training and pursue self-directed study as required.
Assist clinical engineering and other hospital departments as needed.
Assist with medical equipment installations as required.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
