Job summary

Kodak Alaris in the United States is seeking an Imaging Systems Engineer to design, integrate, test, and support hardware subsystems for Kodak Moments products, including kiosks and imaging solutions. You will work across hardware, software, service, quality, and manufacturing teams to translate needs into practical system solutions, with camera and image-capture focus.

Qualifications

  • Strong systems engineering experience across requirements, architecture, integration, and lifecycle support.
  • Experience with electrical and mechanical system design including power, grounding, thermal management.
  • Hands-on integration of electrical, mechanical, imaging hardware into products.
  • Proficiency in drawings, schematics, and BOM documentation.
  • Experience with CAD tools like SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency with lab equipment and testing tools for hardware validation.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux hardware and software interfaces.
  • Ability to develop prototype software/tools using Python or C#/NET.
  • Familiarity with vendor SDKs, drivers, and hardware APIs.
  • DOE and engineering statistical analysis experience.
  • Experience with international suppliers and contract manufacturers.

Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional teams through product development and lifecycle support.
  • Define system and product requirements and contribute to system architecture.
  • Design electrical and mechanical subsystems and integrate imaging components.
  • Manage interfaces between hardware and software; define BOMs.
  • Evaluate new technologies and imaging platforms for performance and scale.
  • Prototype, test, document, and validate system concepts and performance.
  • Troubleshoot system-level issues using lab equipment and root-cause analysis.
  • Provide end-to-end design and sustaining engineering support from concept to pilot builds.
  • Develop system documentation, drawings, specifications, and configuration records.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, QA, manufacturing to support product development.
  • Travel as needed to support deployments and field validation.
