Job summary

LifeCanvas Technologies Inc. is seeking an Imaging Application Engineer to maintain and support internal imaging systems, ensuring minimal microscope downtime for ongoing brain mapping and advanced research projects.

You will develop expertise in imaging platforms, sample processing, and workflows while troubleshooting hardware, software, and workflows. You will also provide technical support to customers, lead system demonstrations and training, and coordinate with internal teams to drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master, or equivalent experience in bioengineering, optical engineering, electrical engineering, or a relevant field.
• Adaptable and proactive in a fast-paced environment, comfortable working across multiple concurrent projects and evolving requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain internal imaging systems and minimize microscope downtime to ensure uninterrupted support for research projects.
• Develop technical expertise in imaging platforms, sample processing, and workflows.
• Conduct on-site installation, service, and repair of microscopes.
• Provide customer instruction on system operation and maintenance and support sales with product demonstrations.
• Travel 12-15 weeks per year for customer installations, inspections, and events.
• Troubleshoot imaging, hardware, software, and workflow issues and coordinate with internal teams.
• Serve as a trusted technical contact for customers before, during, and after installations.
• Translate customer feedback to SPIM, R&D, and technical teams to drive product improvements.
