Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a capable imaging department support technician to assist staff and patient care. You will transport patients, verify identities, prepare patients for procedures, and perform post-procedural duties.

Responsibilities include assisting technologists with reports and imaging delivery, data entry in EMR, and basic nonclinical support. Compliance with HIPAA and safety policies is required; prior medical office exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months' experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from clinical areas and verifies patient identity; assists with preparing patients for procedures.
• Performs post-procedural duties including discharge, room cleanup and restocking supplies; assists with inventory.
• Assists with delivering and retrieving patient reports/imaging; enters data in EMR; imports/exports as needed.
• Provides nonclinical support to the department as necessary.
• Any other duties as assigned.
