Reston Hospital Center is seeking an Imaging Assistant to support patient transport and imaging workflows. You will escort patients, screen and prepare them for imaging, and ensure accurate documentation within the electronic medical record.

The role requires at least 2 years in healthcare, basic MS Office skills, and BLS certification within 30 days of starting. Excellent English communication is essential, and imaging department exposure is preferred.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a healthcare setting required.
• Imaging department experience, i.e. patient transport is preferred.
• Computer experience to include Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 30 days of start date

Responsabilidades

• Assist patients, families and others as needed; escort patients to correct locations for imaging studies.
• Transport inpatients and emergency patients to and from imaging modalities.
• Prep and screen patients before imaging exams; verify identity and mobility.
• Facilitate communication between Imaging Services and medical staff and other departments.
• Ensure quality care following policies and procedures for the department and hospital.
• Assist with clerical services in the department; imaging on CD and cloud-based imaging (powershare).
• Participate in Performance Improvement initiatives in the Imaging Department.
• Address patient satisfaction issues related to delays in transport or procedures.
• Review orders and transcribe into the EMR with appropriate history.
