Job summary

Allegheny Health Network in Erie seeks an Imaging Department Support role to assist with patient transport, verification of identity, and preparation for procedures. You will support technologists and help maintain patient flow within the imaging area.

The position also covers post-procedural duties such as discharge, room turnover, and stock replenishment, along with light data entry in EMR and imaging systems. Training and teamwork are emphasized in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1 year experience in medical office or imaging office setting.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from clinical areas and verifies patient identity according to policies and procedures. Assists technologists with preparing patients for procedures.
• Performs post-procedural duties including patient discharge, room clean up and restocking supplies. Assists with inventory control.
• Assists technologists with delivering and retrieving patient reports/imaging, entering data, in electronic medical records, import and export through appropriate means and methods.
• Provides nonclinical support to the department as necessary.
• Any other duties as assigned.
