Job summary

Baptist Health seeks a Radiology Assistant to support the patient care team at Baptist Medical Center South. The role assists in routine and non-complex patient care and helps ensure smooth operation of the radiology unit by coordinating with technologists and nursing staff.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians, RNs, and LPNs, along with registration staff, while maintaining safety and effective communication to contribute to an efficient imaging workflow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate from a certified Nursing Assistant Program or completion of Nursing Fundamentals course or 1 year of patient care experience in acute care, nursing home, imaging center, or home care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in routine and non-complex patient care tasks to support the radiology unit.
• Facilitate efficient operation of the modality through strong organization and communication.
• Assist Technologists, Physicians, RNs and LPNs in the patient care process and collaborate with registration.
