Job summary

Baptist Health invites applications for a Medical Assistant / LMR professional who can support radiology duties and patient care. The role blends radiologic imaging with medical assistant tasks under physician supervision, requiring ARRT and BCLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Candidates should have Medical Assistant training or experience and be comfortable using EMR systems while assisting with patient education and navigation of insurance authorizations.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant education or experience required.
• Radiologic Technology or LMR certification preferred.
• Active ARRT and KROC within 90 days of hire.
• BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate health changes and medications with patients and document in EMR.
• Maintain department cleanliness and order.
• Record and chart information for individual cases.
• Perform radiographic exams as required with standard equipment.
• Coordinate patient histories and communicate with team as needed.
• Ensure smooth patient flow through exam and treatment areas.
• Prepare exam rooms and restock supplies.
• Assist physicians and nurses with patient care and procedures.
• Record vital signs accurately and report abnormalities.
• Handle clerical duties including scheduling and insurance authorizations.
