Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Health System is seeking an Imaging Student Aide to support the Imaging & Radiology department in Miramar. You will assist with patient preparation, room setup, and basic duties under supervision of an Imaging Technologist.

The role emphasizes compassionate, family-centered care, adherence to safety protocols, and readiness to graduate to Imaging Tech upon program completion. This is a temporary assignment within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited imaging program with at least one clinical rotation.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire and active throughout employment.
• Proficiency with basic computer tasks and imaging-related systems.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, relay messages, and respond when possible.
• Assist imaging staff and radiologists during procedures as needed.
• Enter patient data into PACs systems as required.
• Follow patient-identification policies prior to examinations.
• Maintain a clean, safe patient environment and supply imaging rooms.
• Prepare patients and imaging rooms for examinations.
• Stock and disinfect imaging rooms and equipment at shift start.
• Greet patients and families and communicate available NCH services.
