Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a 2nd year Radiology Technologist student to join a Cath lab pipeline. The role includes patient transport, room turnover, setup, sterile technique and documentation of procedures.

Hours are flexible to accommodate school schedules; after graduation, potential for direct hire into Cath lab. Must be actively enrolled in an accredited imaging program and hold BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Imaging student must be actively enrolled in an accredited imaging program.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• ISDH Radiology Student Permit, if applicable.
• Knowledge of RIS and PACS for training and problem resolution.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and personal hygiene.
• Good communication and public relations skills.
• Ability to provide care appropriate to the age and developmental level of patients.
• Ability to set priorities and manage a high workload.
• Ability to observe patients and report changes to the technologist.
• Ability to organize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for designated imaging patients.
• Perform patient transport.
• Set up and turnover of the procedure room.
• Maintain sterile technique and aseptic practices.
• Document procedures.
