Job summary

Baystate Mercy Hospital seeks an experienced radiologic technologist to operate diagnostic X-ray equipment under radiologist supervision. You will perform fluoroscopy, portable imaging in NICU, Pedi, OR, ICU, ER and outpatient settings, including invasive exams as required.

The role includes assisting during surgical procedures and ensuring strict radiation safety. The incumbent must have or be eligible for MA RT license and ARRT Registry, with strong patient communication and teamwork skills to

Qualifications

• MA RT license and ARRT Registry preferred.
• Ability to work with computer applications as part of daily workflow.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality imaging with attention to technique and patient positioning.
• Operate X-ray equipment and ensure safety and infection control.
• Perform fluoroscopy, portable imaging, and radiographic exams in NICU, Pedi, OR, ICU and ER.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians and staff to optimize patient care.
• Maintain equipment and work areas, perform QC checks and supply management.
• Assist radiologists in sterile procedures and handle emergency imaging requests.
• Comply with JC, MQSA, ACR, DPH/CMS requirements and participate in QA activities.
• Input data accurately into modality systems and support training of staff as needed.
• Maintain radiation safety for patients, staff and self; use monitoring devices as required.
