Responsibilities

• Operates diagnostic X-ray equipment as required to obtain diagnostic films according to Radiologist specifications.
• Performs fluoroscopy and invasive exams as required under Radiologist supervision; conducts portable imaging in NICU, Pedi, OR, ICU, ER and outpatient X-rays.
• Performs mobile and surgical imaging procedures to assist with patient diagnosis in surgical suites and patient rooms.
• Assists in specialty imaging procedures (e.g., defecography, barium enema, myelography, GI exams) as needed.
• Responds to contrast reactions and medical emergencies per department/hospital policy; makes sound clinical judgments in emergencies.
• May float to other Baystate Health system locations to support patient care and staffing needs.
• Maintains equipment by performing quality checks, keeping rooms stocked, and ensuring safety and cleanliness.
