Job summary

USA Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to assist in preparing patients for examinations and performing cardiac and vascular ultrasound studies. The role includes coordinating with physicians to choose the appropriate procedures and may involve training junior staff.

The position requires ARDMS/RVT or CCI credentials upon hire, a hospital training program or equivalent experience, and adherence to infection control standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved ultrasound training program OR 2 years ultrasound experience.
• RDMS or RVT registered with ARDMS upon hire.
• RVS registered with CCI upon hire.
• Other combinations and experience may be considered as designated by ARDMS/CCI registry eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for examinations and explains procedures while performing studies.
• Evaluates the clinical history of a patient with the test to be performed.
• Consults with physicians to determine appropriate ultrasonic procedures.
• May train lower-level technicians in cardiac and vascular studies under supervision.
• Maintains scan logs and procedure manuals.
• Researches, develops, and recommends new ultrasound procedures and techniques.
• Provides in-service training to students and other personnel in ultrasound.
• Adheres to Infection Control and Safety Standards.
