Responsibilities

• Cares for the patient throughout the treatment/procedure according to department and hospital standards of care.
• Provides systems support by preparing procedure rooms for patients prior to arrival.
• Explains exams and answers basic questions, and references MR safety if applicable.
• Follows directions to assist in performing exams/procedures on patients.
• Processes CDs and supports patient transport and lift equipment as required.
• Coordinates patient care based on imaging protocols and communicates with staff.
• Reconciles physician orders to correct exam protocol and escalates discrepancies.
• Prepares necessary paperwork and retrieves physician orders from order systems (EPIC, Chartview, Powerchart).
• Verifies patient demographics and manages schedule to ensure flow.
