Job summary

Qualifications

• May require Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of radiologist/technologist, perform clerical and patient care duties to assist imaging exams.
• Handle patient scheduling, registration, screening, reception, and information release.
• Prepare patients for procedures and discuss exam prep with patients.
• Assist with IV access lines and minimally invasive procedures as trained.
• Support inventory management and other assigned tasks.

Join our outpatient imaging center in Muncie, Indiana, as an Imaging Services Assistant and play an important role in supporting patients and the imaging team. This position works closely with the MRI department, helping ensure a smooth and positive experience for patients throughout their visit.

• Monday-Friday schedule, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Job Duties, Tasks and Qualifications:

• Works under the supervision of a radiologist, technologist, or radiology nurse. Performs clerical and/or patient care duties necessary to assist in performing imaging exams. Clerical duties may include, but are not limited to patient scheduling & registration, patient screening, reception, release of information, and maintaining inventory. Patient care duties may include, but are not limited to transporting and transferring patients, preparing patients for procedures, discussing exams and preps with patients, starting IV access lines, and assisting with minimally invasive procedures as approved by regional leadership and with documentation of training and competency. All other duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• 0-3 years of experience.
• Medical Terminology, preferred.
