Job summary

Asante is seeking an Imaging Services Aide to transport patients and assist radiology staff. The role includes inputting orders, answering phones, and helping maintain a clean, organized Imaging department. It is an on-call, variable hours position with a small FTE allocation.

Responsibilities emphasize teamwork with Imaging Technologists, patient movement, and support tasks such as badge distribution and stock management. BLS certification is required before start date.

Qualifications

• At least 3 month’s work experience, preferably in a medical setting.
• BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified by American Heart Association required on start.

• Transport patients to and from the Imaging department.
• Assist in radiology procedures and input orders.
• Answer phones and direct calls as necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness of department, exam rooms, and equipment.

SalaryRange:$19.27 - $26.50

Shift Differentials:

• $1.16 extra for working between 3:00pm - 11:00pm
• $2.00 extra for working between 11:01pm and 7:00am
• $0.99 extra for working weekends

Position Summary

TheImaging Services Aidetransports patients to and from the Imaging department, assists in radiology procedures, and performs related work as required. One of the primary responsibilities is assisting the Imaging Services Technologists; inputting orders into the computer, answering phones and directing calls as necessary; assisting in maintaining cleanliness of department, exam rooms, and equipment; distributing radiation badges to departments and employees as well as stocking exam rooms with linen and other medical supplies.

Position Qualifications

• At least 3 month’s work experience is required (with experience in a medical setting preferred).
• BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified by American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start.

• Flexibility with regards to work schedule to meet the needs of the department.
• Ability to prioritize work and able to work in a fast-paced environment with demands from staff, physicians and patients.
• Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care with respect to specific age or social maturity ranging from neonate patients through geriatric patients.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions in detail.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with physicians, patients and all levels of staff.
