Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electronics/Imaging Technology, or military training.
• Five+ years in repair of radiology equipment or related biomedical experience.
• Specialized knowledge in modalities such as radiology, MRI, nuclear medicine, US, CT, cath lab, linear accelerators.
• Possession of certifications (CRES) in modalities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventive maintenance, calibrations, and electrical safety inspections on imaging equipment.
• Carry out major repairs by replacing defective components per manufacturer specs.
• Assist with cross training of BMET Technicians.
• Communicate with manufacturer reps to resolve equipment issues.
• Provide on-call responsibilities as required.
• Research and order repair parts within budget.
• Document asset actions and QA records per policy.
• Fulfill duties of a BMET III when needed.
