Intelas, a Compass Healthcare company, seeks an ISE II in Aurora, IL to maintain and repair imaging equipment, perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, and safety inspections. This role emphasizes reliability, regulatory compliance, and cross-training of BMET technicians.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electronics/Imaging Technology, Biomedical Equipment Technology, or military training.
• Minimum five years of experience with imaging equipment manufacturers or related experience.
• Five years of radiology equipment repair experience and biomedical exposure.
• Specialized knowledge across modalities such as radiology, MRI, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, CT, cath lab, linear accelerators.
• Desirable certification (CRES) in modalities.
• Good communication and strong customer service skills.
• Willingness to be on-call and serve as a technical resource.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventive maintenance, calibrations, and electrical safety inspections on imaging equipment per standards.
• Conduct major repairs by replacing defective components and readjust components per manufacturer specs; certification may be required.
• Assist with diagnostic imaging cross training of BMET Technicians.
• Collaborate with manufacturers' representatives and equipment operators to resolve issues.
• Provide emergency on-call coverage as needed.
• Research and order repair parts within budget parameters.
• Document asset actions per department practices and maintain QA records.
• Must be capable of performing all duties of a BMET III.
