Job summary

Intelas, a Compass Healthcare company, seeks an ISE I for the Aurora, IL area to maintain and repair imaging systems and related biomedical equipment. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and on-call support to ensure high uptime and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has an associates degree in electronics/imaging or biomedical tech, with at least two years’ radiology equipment repair experience and knowledge of multiple modalities.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electronics/Imaging Technology or Biomedical Equipment Technology or equivalent military training.
• At least two years’ experience with imaging equipment manufacturers or related experience.
• Minimum two years’ experience repairing radiology equipment and biomedical systems.
• Knowledge of modalities such as radiology, MRI, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, CT, cath lab, linear accelerators.
• Certification in modalities (CRES) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventive maintenance, calibrations and electrical safety inspections on imaging equipment per standards.
• Perform major repairs by replacing defective components to manufacturer specs using required tools.
• Assist with diagnostic imaging cross-training of BMET Technicians.
• Coordinate with manufacturers and operators to resolve equipment issues.
• Provide emergency on-call coverage.
• Research and source repair parts within budget constraints.
• Document asset actions per department practices and QA records.
• Capable of performing duties of a BMET III.
