Job summary

nGenium seeks an experienced Imaging Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and service advanced medical imaging equipment across hospital environments. The role supports high-end imaging modalities, ensures maximum equipment uptime, and maintains regulatory compliance while providing technical support to clinical teams.

The position requires strong fault-finding, troubleshooting, and the ability to read technical manuals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience servicing medical imaging equipment.
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance, repairs, installations, and calibrations.
  • Good understanding of computer hardware, networking, and software diagnostics.
  • Ability to read technical documentation and service manuals.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
  • Ability to lift equipment/components up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, calibrations, and performance testing on medical imaging systems.
  • Diagnose, repair, install, and commission imaging equipment.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and system faults.
  • Maintain accurate service records and equipment documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and quality standards.
  • Support inventory management, including spare parts and equipment records.
  • Work alongside clinical staff to minimise equipment downtime.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers when required.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance where appropriate.

The role supports high-end imaging modalities, ensures maximum equipment uptime, maintains regulatory compliance, and provides technical support to clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, calibrations, and performance testing on medical imaging systems.
  • Diagnose, repair, install, and commission imaging equipment.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and system faults.
  • Maintain accurate service records and equipment documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and quality standards.
  • Support inventory management, including spare parts and equipment records.
  • Work alongside clinical staff to minimise equipment downtime.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers when required.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance where appropriate.

Experience in one or more of the following is highly desirable:

  • MRI
  • CT
  • Cath Lab
  • Radiation Oncology / Linear Accelerators
  • General X-ray
  • Fluoroscopy
  • Other diagnostic imaging systems
Requirements

  • Bachelor\'s degree preferred but not essential.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and networking principles.
