Job summary

nGenium in Boston, MA is seeking an on-site Imaging Service Engineer to maintain and optimise diagnostic imaging equipment in a major hospital setting. You will work closely with radiology teams to ensure systems are reliable, safe, and compliant while providing exceptional service.

Relocation support is available. The role offers exposure to CT, MRI and X-ray systems, hands-on diagnostics, and clear opportunities for long-term career development through OEM training and progression.

Qualifications

  • Experience servicing diagnostic imaging equipment.
  • Knowledge of CT, MRI and X-ray systems.
  • Ability to work independently in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain advanced imaging systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, calibrations, and system checks.
  • Respond quickly to equipment failures to minimise downtime.
  • Build strong relationships with radiologists, technologists, biomedical teams, and hospital stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation and compliance records.
  • Manage on-site parts inventory and coordinate replacement components when required.
  • Ensure all work adheres to OEM specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to maximise equipment uptime and reliability.

Salary: $80,000–$120,000 per year (Depending on Experience)

Our client is a leading healthcare technology organisation providing comprehensive imaging equipment support to hospitals across the United States.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint experienced Imaging Service Engineers to join a dedicated on-site team supporting a major acute-care hospital in the Boston, MA area.

The Role

As an on-site Imaging Service Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the performance, reliability, and safety of critical diagnostic imaging equipment.

Working closely with radiology teams, clinical staff, and hospital leadership, you will ensure imaging systems remain fully operational to support outstanding patient care.

This is a hands-on position offering significant autonomy, exposure to a wide range of advanced imaging systems, and excellent long-term career development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of advanced imaging systems.
