Job summary

Summit Medical Group is seeking a PSR – Imaging Scheduler to greet patients, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and coordinate radiology exams. The role requires accurate scheduling, HIPAA compliance, and strong communication with patients and clinical staff.

The position involves multi-tasking in a busy reception area, with potential for providing support across satellite offices. Prior scheduling experience and familiarity with EHR/PM systems are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Diploma from a vocational or technical program preferred.
• 0–1 years experience required; 2–4 years preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Experience with EHR and Practice Management System recommended.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, customers and family in person and by phone courteously and timely.
• Collect patient co-pays and outstanding balances; handle insurance queries.
• Schedule and reschedule radiology exams per protocol; inform patients of pre-exam prep.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and professional reception area.
• Communicate with provider offices, technologists and leadership to resolve issues.
