Position Overview:

The Imaging Sales Specialist - Core is responsible for providing technical sales support for all advanced widefield microscopy products, serving as a key element within the broader sales team. The focus is on selling to the life science research community and collaborating with the Leica sales team across all commercial activities.

This role reports to the Regional Sales Manager, Southwest, and is part of the Life Science Research division. It is a remote position covering Southern California.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide consultative sales support on products, applications, and software to customers and Key Account Managers.
• Identify sales opportunities across product lines, focusing on lead generation in widefield product portfolios. Collaborate with Key Account Managers in team-selling efforts.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by partnering effectively with Sales Managers, Customer Service, Engineers, and other departments to meet customer needs.
• Manage your sales pipeline diligently from opportunity creation to closing deals, utilizing Salesforce and visual management tools.
• Generate field data, application notes, or publications highlighting product benefits to differentiate Leica offerings.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or related scientific field.
• Experience with biological imaging applications, fluorescence, confocal microscopy, optics, or related fields.
• Multiple years in research, quality control, or production environments applying microscopy and digital imaging techniques.
• Strong relationship-building, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Travel & Physical Requirements:

• Ability to travel 25-50% overnight, mainly in Southern California.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift or move equipment up to 25 lbs.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous sales experience with microscopy products.
• Teaching or training experience related to imaging equipment and techniques.

The salary range is $90,000 - $100,000, potentially including bonus/incentive pay, along with other benefits.
