Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking an experienced imaging nursing leader to oversee day-to-day operations, staffing, scheduling, and quality improvement across imaging services. You’ll ensure patient safety, coordinate education, and advocate for patients during procedures.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years nursing experience in hospital or clinical settings, a Georgia RN license, and prefers critical care and supervisory background to drive excellence across departments.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum 5 years nursing experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
• Critical care background and nursing supervisory experience preferred.
• Georgia RN licensure; BCLS and ACLS certifications required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operations of Imaging including off-site locations.
• Staffing, scheduling, monitoring performance, providing staff education, and implementing QA/PI activities.
• Acts as liaison between customers, technical staff, medical staff, and other departments within the hospital.
• Provides complex nursing care during procedures and ensures patient safety and advocacy.
• Provides supervisory leadership with creativity, attention to detail and follow-through.

Responsibilities

Manages the day‑to‑day operations of various areas of Imaging including off‑site locations of the hospital. Responsibilities include staffing, scheduling, monitoring staff performance, providing staff education, and implementing and directing Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement activities for the department. Participates in department budget preparation and management. Acts as a liaison between customers, technical staff, medical staff, and other departments within the hospital. Able to provide complex nursing care, which includes the monitoring and administering of medications required during procedures. Performs related record‑keeping and patient care functions and serves as patient advocate. Ensures proper education and training to staff and patients. Provides supervisory skills consistent with creativity, attention to detail, and consistent follow through.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing — Required

Work Experience

• 5 years nursing experience in a hospital (inpatient roles) or clinical (outpatient roles) setting — Required
• Critical care background and previous nursing supervisory experience — Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• RN – Registered Nurse – Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure. Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License — Upon Hire Required
