Job summary

UC Irvine's Department of Radiological Sciences is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to support imaging services across industry‑sponsored and investigator‑initiated studies. You will coordinate data, ensure regulatory compliance, and aid in study start‑ups and protocol qualifying imaging scanners.

The role requires experience with IRB/HIPAA and familiarity with GCP, EPIC, Redcap, OnCore, and Kuali systems.

Qualifications

• Ability to think critically in compiling and reviewing data from various sources.
• Demonstrated ability to perform scientific research including evaluating information and preparing concise, well‑organized reports and correspondence.
• Database creation and maintenance using Excel and/or other relational databases.
• Research experience especially with IRB, HIPAA and other regulatory documents, study coordination and familiar with GCP and ethical conduct of research.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with the public, faculty, and staff.
• Ability to establish and maintain files and records.
• High level of integrity and honesty in maintaining confidentiality.
• Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science, or equivalent experience.
• 3 to 5 years of related work experience.
• Preferred: CCRP

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical research support to department imaging services and coordinate studies.
• Review imaging requirements for industry‑sponsored, investigator‑initiated, and NCI‑sponsored trials.
• Assist in start‑up processes, site initiation visits, and scanner qualification.
• Support data curation, literature searches, data review, and manuscript preparation.
• Coordinate radiology safety reads and special reads (RECIST, RANO, CHESON) for IRB‑approved studies.
• Perform root cause analysis to maintain smooth research workflow.
