Qualifications

• Minimum one year receptionist experience in ambulatory surgery, acute-care hospital, or doctor’s office.
• Experience using scheduling software and Windows/NT systems.
• Strong oral and written communication and ability to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Handle high volume, high stress workload while multitasking.
• Utilize hospital systems for admission/registration and scheduling.
• Cross-train in scheduling, pre-authorizations, and medical records.
• Verify patient information and enter data into medical software at admission.
• Assist patients in waiting areas and relay delays to departments.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and secure chart storage.
• Record and reconcile daily monies at front desk.
• Manage telephone system and after-hours messaging.
• Assist with duties as directed by Imaging Manager.
