Job summary

Jefferson Health Northeast is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform x-ray scans and support diagnostic imaging services. The role emphasizes patient care, safety and accurate record-keeping, with duties spanning image acquisition, procedure explanation and equipment maintenance.

The ideal candidate will be ARRT-certified or possess an equivalent diploma, with familiarity in RIS/PACS and strong commitment to radiation safety and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma or ARRT certification.
• ARRT-certified radiologic technologist or HS diploma with ARRT equivalent.
• Knowledge of RIS systems and PACS.
• BLS and AHA certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Position radiographic equipment to produce diagnostic images with necessary detail.
• Explain procedures to patients and obtain relevant medical history.
• Ensure radiation safety and shield usage per standards.
• Maintain and test x-ray equipment and document results.
• Maintain patient records and ensure RIS/PACS accuracy.
