Job summary

Keck Medicine of USC is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to provide radiology and back-office support in an ambulatory clinic setting. You will perform diagnostic radiology procedures, ensure proper exam protocols, and assist with scheduling and patient care.

This role requires AMA‑approved Radiologic Technology education, ARRT certification, BLS, and strong communication skills. Travel to additional locations may be required and participation in after-hours standby could be needed.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology (college affiliated or hospital trained).
• Excellent communication skills in English; able to speak, read and write proficiently.
• Comfortable with computers and medical terminology.
• Technical skills to operate radiography equipment and computers.

Responsibilities

• Performs and/or assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures in alignment with department guidelines.
• Review radiographs for proper positioning, technique, and patient identification.
• Demonstrates knowledge of all radiographic equipment and correct marker use.
• Adjusts technical factors based on patient age and body part while minimizing radiation exposure.
• Maintains patient identification, exam protocols, and proper charting; assists with paperwork and file management.
• Provides radiation protection per policy and ensures exam rooms are stocked and organized.
• Participates in after-hours standby and callback as required.
• Acts as mentor and ambassador within the department; communicates concerns through proper channels.
