Job summary

OSF HealthCare in Peoria, IL seeks a Radiology Assistant I to transport patients to and from the Medical Imaging Department, prepare patients for imaging exams, and assist technologists with care while providing essential clerical support to the department.

The ideal candidate holds a High School Diploma or GED, BLS certification, strong communication and computer skills, and a detail-oriented, analytical mindset. A Certificate of Radiology Assistant is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
• Preferred: Certificate of Radiology Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from the Medical Imaging Department.
• Prepares patients for their imaging exam.
• Assists the technologists with patient care as needed.
• Provides clerical support to the department.
