Job summary

Qualifications

• Competent in IV insertion and venipuncture, based on department need.
• Excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of patients, staff and physicians.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• Intermediate computer skills including experience in using computer applications/systems and electronic mail.
• Must be able to follow directions and work well both independently and with technologists, physicians, and patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in preparation for exams and transport between rooms.
• Use radiology computer systems to generate requisitions, check schedules, and obtain patient information.
• Organize exam rooms and supplies, maintain equipment, and clean as needed.
• Greet patients/visitors and respond to information requests; schedule appointments and take messages as required.
• Serve as liaison between ordering physician, radiologist, and technologist.
• Provide radiology reports and images to staff, patients, and family; manage health information records.
