Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons is seeking a print operator to manage high resolution, variable print equipment and prepare production jobs from initiation to release. You will build job parameters, monitor queues, and adjust image positioning to meet specs.

The role emphasizes color accuracy, file handling, and maintaining daily production logs for timely delivery. Strong knowledge of digital printing processes is required.

Qualifications

• Requires extensive knowledge of digital print and/or ink jet equipment setup and operation.
• Ability to diagnose, solve, and correct operating problems affecting quality and timeliness.
• Knowledge of color theory and ability to adjust imaging to customer specs.
• Familiarity with file formats used in digital print and file manipulation.

Responsibilities

• Operate high resolution, variable print proprietary imaging finishing equipment.
• Program and prepare jobs for printing.
• Maintain daily print job production logs and daily delivery manifests.
• Setup, program and release jobs from the print queue.
• Adjust image position and ensure color quality and resolution.
• Monitor output quality for accuracy and consistency.
