Job summary

RRD is seeking an experienced operator to run high-resolution printing systems. Responsibilities include programming, preparing, and releasing print jobs, maintaining logs and manifests, and ensuring color accuracy and output quality.

You will adjust, troubleshoot, and optimize imaging and finishing per job specs while coordinating with teammates and managing supplies. The role requires vigilance, technical skill, and efficient workflow in a dynamic production environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of digital print/inkjet imaging equipment setup, adjustment, operating procedures, and the skill to set up, operate, and adjust the equipment
• Ability to diagnose, solve, and correct operating problems affecting quality and timeliness of service or product
• Advanced knowledge of color theory and ability to adjust colors to customer specifications
• Excellent knowledge of file manipulation and file formats for digital print
• Excellent knowledge and ability to set up feed rollers, tensioning, timing and inline finishing per job specifications
• May instruct junior level operators how to complete required corrective adjustments
• Typically, corrective adjustments require considering symptoms, causes, and remedies
• Other duties as requested
• Train, communicate with other employees

Responsibilities

• Operate high resolution, variable print proprietary imaging equipment
• Program and prepare jobs for printing
• Maintain daily print job production logs and daily delivery manifests
• Setup, program and release jobs from print queue
• Adjust image position, color quality, resolution, perforations and folds on paper
• Monitor quality of output for correctness and image quality
• Order supplies such as ink, chemical solutions, blankets and rollers, paper, tabs
• Maintain inventory levels
