Requirements

• Current License in good standing
• Appropriate specialty certifications/credentials
• At least 18 months of Special Procedures/Interventional experience, preferably in a critical care setting
• Additional requirements as determined by the client facility

Duties and Responsibilities

The primary role of the Interventional Radiology Tech is to assist with patient care in the IR Department by providing technical support to the IR team.

• Perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures
• Operate fluoroscopic, radiology, or conventional equipment to obtain images as per physician instructions
• Assist physicians during procedures by monitoring, passing instruments and catheters, observing patient responses, maintaining sterile fields, and evaluating diagnostic data
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines
• Deliver high-quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner
• Maintain an environment focused on excellence, patient care, and compassion
• Accurately prepare and update patient records
