Duties and Responsibilities

The primary role of the Interventional Radiology Tech is to assist with patient care in the IR department by providing technical support to the IR team.

• Perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures
• Operate radiology equipment to obtain images as per physician specifications
• Assist physicians during procedures by monitoring, passing instruments, maintaining sterile fields, and observing patient responses
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines
• Deliver high-quality, cost-effective patient care professionally
• Maintain an environment focused on patient excellence, providing timely and compassionate care
• Accurately prepare and update patient records
