Requirements

• Current License in good standing
• Appropriate specialty certifications/credentials
• Eighteen months of Special Procedures/Interventional experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility

Duties and Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Interventional Radiology Tech is to assist with patient care in the Interventional Radiology Department by providing technical support to the IR team.

• Perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures in a clinical setting.
• Operate conventional, fluoroscopic, or radiology equipment to obtain images according to physician specifications and/or orders.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures by monitoring, passing instruments and catheters, observing patient responses, maintaining sterile fields, and interpreting diagnostic data.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines.
• Provide quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner.
• Maintain an environment focused on excellence, patient care, and compassion.
• Prepare and update patient records accurately and legibly.
