Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Health System is seeking a temporary Imaging & Radiology support role. The incumbent will assist with patient care, prepare imaging rooms, and support the imaging team under supervision of an Imaging Technologist.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, room turnover, and basic clerical tasks within PACS and hospital policies. This role targets students progressing toward becoming Imaging Technologists.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited imaging program and completed at least one clinical rotation.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, take and relay messages, and respond when possible.
• Assist technologist and radiologist with procedures as needed.
• Enter information in PACS system as required.
• Follow patient-identification policy prior to examinations.
• Maintain clean, safe patient environment and prepare patients for imaging.
• Stock imaging rooms and ensure supplies are adequate.
• Disinfect rooms and equipment; manage waste and linen.
• Greet patients and provide information about NCH services.
