Job summary

Jefferson Health in Philadelphia is seeking a Biomedical Imaging Specialist II to provide advanced maintenance and support for imaging equipment and associated data/network systems. The role includes preventive maintenance, calibration, testing, and repair across multiple imaging modalities.

The person will ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, create and share technical literature, and deliver training to staff on equipment and electrical safety.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
• High School Diploma with 5 years progressive experience in the medical imaging field (in lieu of degree).

Responsibilities

• Completes the preventive maintenance (PM) workload to achieve high PM compliance.
• Performs safety checks, repairs and installations of biomedical and communications equipment.
• Identifies and sources supplies and materials to service equipment cost-effectively.
• Maintains technical literature and references for supporting the biomedical program.
• Ensures equipment complies with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
• Presents to small groups to keep staff up-to-date on trends.
• Provides in-service and training on biomedical equipment and electrical safety.

Education

Associate’s Degree in Electronics or Biomedical Engineering or related field

High School Diploma/GED with 5 years progressive imaging experience
