Job summary

The Johns Hopkins Hospital seeks an Imaging Equipment Engineer II to support Radiology and Radiological Science across the main campus and outpatient centers. You will install, de-install, and maintain imaging equipment, troubleshoot issues, and mentor Level 1 technicians as a trusted resource for Johns Hopkins Health System employees.

Qualifications

  • Professional knowledge in engineering with imaging equipment maintenance.
  • Associate degree in Engineering or Biomedical Equipment Technology.
  • Military training (2 years) or vocational electronics training can substitute for degree.
  • Valid driver’s license with good record for off-site service calls.
  • CRES certification by AAMI preferred.
  • Three years’ experience as an Imaging Engineer in healthcare context.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, de-installation and maintenance of imaging equipment.
  • Troubleshoot problems and identify solutions.
  • Mentor and precept Level 1 technicians.
  • Serve as a resource to Johns Hopkins Health System Employees.
