Job summary

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking an Imaging Coordinator II - Authorization & Verification Specialist to join our Imaging Team. This role focuses on verifying patient insurance, benefits, and documenting information for billing and appointments.

Responsibilities include calling insurance for verifications, ensuring accurate registrations, and providing smooth patient transitions through services. CPR certification must be obtained within 60 days; strong communication and computer skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Must obtain CPR certification within 60 days of employment.
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others.
• Demonstrated skills in verbal, written English, and public speaking.
• Willingness to participate in goal-setting and professional development.
• Demonstrated computer skills in word processing and databases.
• Previous experience with healthcare scheduling and insurance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance and benefits (deductibles, copays, in/out of network).
• Notify staff of non-reimbursable benefits and manage calls.
• Process payments and maintain daily log of payments as needed.
• Prepare preregistration packets and update medical records.
• Assist with admissions, registrations, and closing procedures.
• Work under pressure with patience and tact.
