Job summary

LabCorp in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Imaging Clerk to join our team. You will scan, index, and upload medical records, ensuring accuracy and proper categorization within our imaging system.

The role requires a high school diploma and up to 1 year in medical administrative or imaging settings, knowledge of medical terminology, and the ability to lift up to 20–30 lbs. You will work Monday through Friday, 4pm–1am, in a full-time position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience in a medical administrative or medical imaging setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Occasional lifting of files or boxes up to 20–30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Scan, index, and upload medical records and documents into the electronic imaging system
• Ensure accuracy and proper categorization of all scanned files
• Review documents for completeness, clarity, and quality before imaging
• Retrieve and distribute electronic records as requested by authorized personnel
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations
• Perform data entry and maintain logs for tracking documents
• Assist with quality control audits to ensure imaging system integrity
• Handle incoming and outgoing records, including preparation for scanning
• Troubleshoot basic scanner or system issues and elevate when needed
• Maintain organized physical and electronic filing systems
