Job summary

Labcorp in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our team. You will prepare laboratory specimens for analysis, unpack and route specimens, label and track samples, and ensure accurate data entry.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment. Rotating Saturdays and 3:30 pm–12:30 am hours are included. We value accuracy, teamwork, and a strong commitment to quality in patient testing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens and lifting up to 40 lbs; colorblindness test passed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to their staging areas.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.
