Job summary

Akumin is hiring a Chief Technologist for our Northern NJ facilities, including Jersey City, Newark, Rahway, and Elizabeth. This full-time leadership role oversees imaging operations and multi-modality coordination to uphold patient safety and high image quality.

The position requires an Associate's degree with a Radiology/Nuclear Medicine certificate, CPR, and state licensure where applicable; a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Travel to multiple sites is possible.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and a certificate in Radiology/Nuclear Medicine; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3 years of scanning experience preferred.
• CPR certification and state licensure in supported modalities, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report daily imaging services performance and quality.
• Coordinate daily operations with the Manager of Operations and Radiology Supervisor.
• Create team schedules and approve timecards for up to 40 staff.
• Hire, coach, and evaluate team members; conduct annual assessments.
• Serve as customer point of contact for escalations and liaison with operations.
• Support audits, accreditation activities, and protocol development.
