Job summary

Akumin is hiring a part-time CT Technologist for our Newark, NJ facility. The role emphasizes clear patient communication, explaining procedures, and putting patients at ease while maintaining high imaging quality.

Responsibilities include safety screening, aseptic technique, producing diagnostic images, communicating with radiologists, training others, and maintaining scanner and peripherals. ARRT or NMTCB CT credentials and state licensure are required, with CPR and a valid driver's license

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience; Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Registered Computed Tomography Technologists by the ARRT.
• NMTCB in Computed Tomography acceptable in lieu of ARRT registry where state allows.
• State license.
• Licensed in Medical Imaging, if applicable.
• CPR certification.
• Active State Driver’s License.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multitasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

We are currently hiring for a CT Technologist at our Newark, NJ facility. This will be a Part Time position.

Our CT Technologists use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain the procedure and put them at ease.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Ensures Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications to radiation and contrast injections.

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience; Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.

• If allowable by state where service is provided certification by the NMTCB in Computed Tomography acceptable in lieu of ARRT registry.
• State license.

The estimated hourly pay range for this role in NJ is $29.80 - $53.63. Actual compensation depends on experience, skills, location, and other factors such as internal equity and budget.
