Job summary

Akumin is a leading outpatient radiology and oncology services provider seeking a CT Technologist at our Newark, NJ facility for a full-time role. You will perform CT imaging with emphasis on patient safety and high-quality results.

The position requires ARRT CT certification, state license, CPR, and a valid driver’s license. Training will be provided for new technologists and equipment troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred).
• ARRT CT Certification required; NMTCB acceptable in lieu of ARRT registry.
• State license and CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures patient safety and pre-screening for contraindications to radiation and contrast injections.
• Uses aseptic injection techniques.
• Produces high-quality diagnostic images.
• Communicates effectively with patients and radiologists.
• Trains new technologists and/or PCs.
• Troubleshoots the scanner and peripheral equipment (including monitors, PACS).

We are currently hiring for a CT Technologist at our Newark, NJ facility. This will be a Full Time position.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensures Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications to radiation and contrast injections.
• Also, the use of aseptic injection techniques.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
• Trains new technologist and/or PC's.
• Trouble-shoots the scanner, coach and all peripheral equipment (including monitors, PACS, etc.).

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience; Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Registered Computed Tomography Technologists by the ARRT.
• If allowable by state where service is provided certification by the NMTCB in Computed Tomography acceptable in lieu of ARRT registry.
• State license.
• Licensed in Medical Imaging, if applicable.
• CPR certification.
• Technologists performing mid-day moves.
• Active State Driver’s License.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multitasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

The estimated hourly pay range for this role in NJ is $29.80 - $53.63. Actual compensation depends on experience, skills, location, and other factors such as internal equity and budget.
